Communicate 3.2.1 Newsletter

The "Newsletter" is the premier communication tool that links all stakeholders (students, parents, local school administrator and teacher) in an online classroom. It might be sent weekly, biweekly, monthly or a few select times a semester. Regardless of the frequency of distribution, the newsletter needs to be attractive, succinct & filled with good content so the readers will well ... want to read it!

I explored Thinglink, Smore & FlipSnack - all seem user friendly although some blog platforms might function more readily with one newsletter format than another.

As a Virtual Teacher for GVL, I would opt to incorporate Thinglink as my newsletter format. I think the ability for students to scroll over parts of an image that link to audio files & video clips would  intrigue them  - enticing them to read the newsletter!!

Google Hangout is my platform of choice for synchronous sessions (if the CMS doesn't provide a feature).

Remind 101 is my preferred text communicator service to reach students and parents.
